The Mendelsohn family outside Good Stuff Eatery
About Us

Family-Owned. Hospitality-Driven.

The Mendelsohn family has built its restaurant business around one simple idea: create places people love to come back to.

01 · Our Roots

Rooted in Washington, D.C.

Rooted in Washington, D.C., the family has spent years developing neighborhood restaurants that combine great food, strong hospitality, and a genuine sense of community. What began as a family passion for restaurants has grown into a collection of concepts created to feel approachable, energetic, and memorable.

02 · Our Restaurants

A Family of Concepts

The family is best known for founding Good Stuff Eatery, the chef-driven burger concept launched with their son and brother Chef Spike Mendelsohn, as well as other restaurant brands including We, The Pizza and Santa Rosa Taqueria. They launched Bumblebirds, a fried chicken pop up, with Carla Hall on Capitol Hill.

03 · Our Philosophy

At the center of every concept is the same family philosophy: serve food people crave, create a welcoming atmosphere, take care of your team, and stay connected to the community.

04 · Gathering Places

Hospitality Is Personal

For the Mendelsohns, hospitality is personal. Their restaurants are built to feel like gathering places — somewhere for families, friends, coworkers, and neighbors to eat, drink, celebrate, and spend time together.

05 · Looking Ahead

As the family continues to grow its restaurant brands, one thing remains unchanged: a commitment to great food, genuine hospitality, and the communities they are proud to serve.
